Apart from classic tourist souvenirs like postcards and trinkets, here are some things from this region that are hard to find elsewhere, or even unique. They are dates, leatherware, argan oil and products, tagines, birad, djellabah, carpets, spices and etc. If you’re looking for T-shirts, consider designer items by Kawibi, they look much more inspiring than boring traditional set of themes. But please note that not to buy geodes and trilobite fossils, because unless you are an expert, you will most likely be buying a fake. Souks are a way of life in Morocco and you usually wont have to go far to find one. You can often get good bargains here, but remember that most Moroccans will have a lot more experience than you will when it comes to haggling the price so you will seldom find yourself able to get better than that which is offered. Bargaining is an enjoyable experience for most vendors and they prefer clients that don't appear hurried and are willing to take the time to negotiate.
